RE: ‘Copps Coliseum name up for sale’ (April25)

I wonder if this move is a reflection on the ineffectiveness of city council in running our city? Is it lack of vision about the heritage of Hamilton?

However, I feel if to raise the necessary monies for the coliseum by selling the name on it, there should be a clearly visible memorial for Victor Copps.

How about naming the current City Hall Square after Victor Copps? I am talking about the area bounded by Main Street, MacNab Street South, Hunter Street West and, of course, Bay Street. Appropriate signs should announce the significance of the name Copps Square.
